One of the things I really appreciate is great design and in the multirotor world a lot of units in flight are naked with the electronics exposed. Here is an example of a concept tricopter that not only looks sleek but looks ready for battle. Hopefully this design comes to market.

I recently ordered the Quanum Venture through Hobby King because of its compelling design and great potential for FPV and aerial photography. There seemed to be a lack of good information available about the H style quad online, including a lack of owners manual from the Hobby King Site. So when it arrived I thought I would post the scanned version for everyone who is interested. In the future I intend to put this flyer through it's paces and post my findings so stay tuned...

The power of a Hollywood-caliber drone in a smaller, more affordable package". I couldn't agree more with that statement. This is truly the evolution of creative aerial filmmaking equipment. Check out the link to the article below and watch the video for more "INSPIRE1ration".

Check out the video below and let me know what you think.

-In camera stabilized video, similar to what we see in Instagrams Hyperlapse
-Possibly a consumer lever hexacopter version of the Phantom
-In the video below you see a number of clues including a rotating triangle, does this give away part of their new design. Let me know what you think.
Until then we can only wait to see what this amazing company comes up with next.

Since the inception of the GoPro camera and now the consumer level quadcopter the creative video production world has been turned upside down. Previously shots that could only be captured using tens of thousands of dollars in funding can now be shot by even the most budget conscious creative. This story about round the world adventurer Rob Lutter is absolutely no exception.

Check out this new drone from a company called Air Droids called The Pocket drone. Marketed as your very own personal flying robot. This new unit allows you to mount a GoPro for some incredible aerial footage while also being able to fold it down to a package thats only 7 inches long. Imagine packing this unit right next to you DSLR where you would normally pack you 70-200 f2.8 lens. Now that's my kinda drone. This little machine packs a GPS unit and will allow for route planning using google maps and can be controlled using both a standard controller and an android or in the future IOS device. I am waiting to see some actual real world tests to see how it compares to DJI's Phantom. Stay Tuned for updates as I follow this one.
This is truly some of the best footage that I have seen from a drone yet. Wildlife Photographer and drone maker Will Burrard-Lucas shows here a very compelling view of the Serengeti.

"It's not just a Phantom with a camera, it's a whole new product. Both its user friendliness and consumer-friendly technology makes the DJI Phantom 2 Vision easily the best product for someone who wants to take great quality videos and pictures from an aerial viewpoint without having to spend a lot of time fiddling other quadcopters."
