Accordingto SB-DJI this may be the upcoming Mavic Controller. Some
of the interesting things to note are the obvious handles that seem to be able to fold in to the bottom to make it more compact and if you look closely on the display there is a new reading called clearance. It appears the Mavic's sensors will give you telemetry data telling you just how far you are from another object now that's handy. Let me know your thought about this great looking new controller.
According to drone news site Heliguy DJI could be releasing a completely new compact flying camera platform. This is exciting news on the heels of the GoPro's impending KARMA drone to be announced on September 19th. This what we know so far regarding the Mavic.

If we compare just the weight with the Phantom 3 standard its over a full pound lighter, which should definitely aid in longer flight times and portability.
