According to SB-DJI this may be the upcoming Mavic Controller. Some
of the interesting things to note are the obvious handles that seem to be able to fold in to the bottom to make it more compact and if you look closely on the display there is a new reading called clearance. It appears the Mavic's sensors will give you telemetry data telling you just how far you are from another object now that's handy. Let me know your thought about this great looking new controller.
Below are two new leaked images of the upcoming Mavic which I discovered on the new Mavic Facebook user group started by myfirstdrone.com. It looks super sleek and compact when folded and the camera looks very protected in the nose of the copter. Time will tell if this folder kills the GoPro Karma. My guess is it will for sure but that's a matter of opinion.

According to drone news site Heliguy DJI could be releasing a completely new compact flying camera platform. This is exciting news on the heels of the GoPro's impending KARMA drone to be announced on September 19th. This what we know so far regarding the Mavic.
If we compare just the weight with the Phantom 3 standard its over a full pound lighter, which should definitely aid in longer flight times and portability. Things are really starting to heat up in the consumer drone market now that there seems to be some actual competition with the behemoth that is DJI. Stay Tuned as more details are revealed.
Recently I purchased a DJI Phantom 3 Standard from Amazon Canada and after excitedly waiting 10 day's or so for it to arrive it was not functional right out of the box. Of course being a gear nerd I was very disappointed by this and decided that I would just make an attempt to return it to the Amazon reseller.
